Handy Multi Tool for Your Road TripThis is a little multi tool comes in handy and I keep it handy. It's the Outback'r M14 for Metric Vehicles made by Cruz Tools and is a great compact addition to complete your basic OEM tool kit to ease your burden and impress your friends. When it's collapsed it has some pretty good heft to it. You can tell immediately that it's manufactured by folks who know tools and how to make them strong enough to tackle the heavy jobs you'll encounter if you are ever unfortunate enough to have trouble in the middle of nowhere.
You get function, space, and value with this unit that fits in the palm of your hand. There are 14 tools here: Two Screwdrivers (Flat blade and Phillips). Four Allen Wrenches (3, 4, 5, and 6mm). One Socket Driver with 8, 10, and 12mm Sockets 12 and 14mm Open-End Wrenches and three Spoke Wrenches The only loose pieces are the sockets, but they snap into a case that folds up into the unit like a Swiss army knife. It's 3.5” long and weighs just nine ounces but don't let that fool you. The engineering of the tool begins with a frame that is heavy duty and impossible to crush with your hand. Then, the attachments that fold into the frame are added. All the attachments are very sturdy and can withstand a lot of force. They won't come loose or break off in your hand like some lesser tools out there and it's only $19.95. This item is the most readily accessible tool I have. I keep it in the front pouch of my Cortech Tank Bag. If you want to ditch the OEM kit that came with your bike and replace it, Cruz Tools makes a whole line of roll up kits for bikers.
